Communications Committee

Purpose:

1. To provide residents, new to Oak Ridge, a positive first impression of Oak Ridge Estates and the local area.
2. To communicate with new residents by providing information and support.
3. To foster friendship, cooperation, and understanding among neighbors.
4. To provide help and support for residents.
5. To encourage and facilitate participation in Oak Ridge activities.

Function:

1. To welcome new residents and provide them with information that will ease their move into the Oak Ridge community.
2. To communicate with neighbors about planned activities and important issues and encourage involvement.
3. To include all neighbors with communications about the particulars of activities and issues.
4. To communicate by telephone to those without email, items sent to the community by email.

Term: 2 years

Composition: The Committee will consist of at least 15 members. The chairperson will be elected by the members each summer during the committee's organizational meeting.
